5 Year Anniversary Pictures // Covington, Washington

My brother, Michael, and his wife, Tawni, have been married for five years next month!! I am so very thankful to have the opportunity to capture the love that that have for one another. I cannot believe that it has already been five years! I remember growing up and Michael, Michelle (my twin), and I were like best friends and we always played with each other. I think that it helped that we were all so close in age. It always was fun growing up.

I remember the very first day I met Tawni, which was seriously a day I will never forget. Tawni and Michael were living in Arizona at the time. Michael was able to get a little more time off than Tawni, so Michael visited Washington a little sooner. Anyway, we ended up picking Tawni up from the airport. Michael and I didn't know how to get to the airport, but Michelle did. She was super confident that she new exactly how to get there. Well we headed off to the airport. As we were on the highway enjoying each others company suddenly Michelle yells, after passing an exit, oh that is the exit!!!! Right when she said that Michael drives the truck through the grassy shoulder onto the exit!! We were seriously laughing our heads off! I also remember as we were driving to pick Tawni up and we were asking Michael about her, he said the nicest things about her. He was telling us how beautiful he thought she was and how he didn't really like that she thought she wasn't attractive. When he said that I thought, is this my brother? That is so romantic! haha! Anyway, Michael and Tawni are just so precious together and the first day I met her was a great experience for me.

Lastly, I want to thank Michael and Tawni for allowing me to capture the love they share. May your love forever be strong and faithful.

Summer Nature

I was looking outside the front window of Steven's grandma's house and I thought WOW the sun is beautiful right now outside! Thankfully I had my camera on me, whoot whoot! I only was outside for a short minute and got some really neat images, well three to be exact.  These were my three favorites.

I love this image because of the bee! That bee was just kept on doing it's thing!

Tutorial to taking photos of Fireworks

Fourth of July is the brightest time of night you will find a year, well aside from new years! I always love seeing the fireworks up in the sky. The black background makes a perfect canvas for the fireworks!

Here is a tutorial of how to do it. Just to let you know I didn't do any editing to these. I actually thought, hmmm how can I edit these in a way that they can look cooler. You guessed it, I couldn't think of any way to edit. These fireworks are just amazing with out it.

1. Make sure that it is completely dark outside.

2. Keeping the image in focus is also kind of important. What I did for this, is I put my camera on the highest aperture. I put mine at 20, which I think might have been a little excessive! You would be fine with an aperture of 12 plus. I focused on an the trees that were right above the fireworks.  That worked well for me.

3. Make sure that you aren't close to a light post. Even if you feel like it wont be in the way, most likely it will be. We were kind of near a light post, so I thought it was going to be okay, but it ruined a few of my pictures. Sigh haha :D

4. Always bring a tripod (you will see why in the next number).

 5. Have a long exposure (shutter speed) so that you can get the trail of the lights. Because of the long exposure you need to make sure that you aren't moving your camera at all. I also click the shutter when I hear the firework go off, which can at times be easy or hard to hear.

All these image were shot with my Canon 6D with my EF 24-70 F2.8. I kept the aperture at 20 and the shutter speed around 3-5 seconds.

The Barton Family // Maternity Session // Utah

Brooke has been a really good friend of mine for quite some time. I moved my senior year and she was instantly super nice to me! Brooke is super friendly and has a gift to be friends with anyone. What a great opportunity I had to take their family pictures.

Brooke makes a BEAUTIFUL pregnant woman, as you can see! I hope I look as amazing as she does when we starting having children. Brooke is just beautiful inside and out and will make a great mother of two beautiful children!

Dugan is their little boy who is full of energy! I was so thankful for an awesome husband who was able to make him laugh and smile. Such a cute family! Good luck in Washington you guys!!

OH and they are having a sweet little girl and will be having her in September! YAY for bumps and babies!!

The Pearson Family // Provo, Utah

The Pearson's were just a great family to photograph! Let me tell you Katrina's style is one that I wish I had! Seriously, great clothes, she is BEAUTIFUL and she has a great personality to go with it! Tanner is so lucky to have such a genuine person.

Katrina and I actually go to the same church together and we work with the young women of our ward (congregation). They run from ages 12-18. Such an age where girls are trying to figure out who they are. Katrina is the best person for the job! I am so blessed to be able to work with her and learn from her amazing testimony of the Savior Jesus Christ. Tanner takes care of the sunday's school for our congregation. He sometimes teaches or he asks other to teach the lessons. Basically these two love the Lord and want to do all that they can to please Him.

Amelie is SOOOOO cute! Just look at the third picture down! HAHAHA When I saw that I thought girl you couldn't have had better timing to itch your eyes! Seriously so adorable! And don't forget her BEAUTIFUL blue eyes! Seriously you just fall in love with her just from those eyes!

Well enough of my on and on writing, take a look enjoy this cute little family!

Happy Fall Y'all!

Steven and I went on a hiking date together to Stewart Falls! It is such a beautiful place, especially this time of year.  Fall would have to be my favorite time of year because of the colors and temperature! I will be sad when it will leave.

Another thing I enjoyed about this Hike was the calm and serenity I felt.  I don't know how someone can look at these creations and think there is no God.  I know there is because this world is so beautiful and inspiring!

Here are some pictures of Gods beauty! I am thankful I was able to capture them with my camera! I hope you enjoy!!
