Husbands are cool

We had snow this weekend! Talk about a celebration for me! I had to go out in it and take some pictures! I thankfully have a wonderful husband who is willing to be my hand model!

As I look at this pictures I can't help but think how thankful I am for the hands of my husband. My husband and I worked together back in 2008, he was doing construction and I was a secretary for that company. When I met him and saw him work, that was the first thing that attracted me to him. I knew that he was a hard working and strong the moment I got to know him in our work setting. You see we had known each other before, but I never took a second thought until we worked for the same company. Thankfully our job had changed that for me. I remember asking him MANY MANY times for him to grab something for me or lift something for me because 1. I knew he could 2. I thought he was the most attractive thing on earth, and I wanted to be close to him and get to know him. Glad that my silly girlness worked because now we are so happily married.

Today his hands are what provide for our family. Everyday he works or goes to school in order to provide. He has made so many sacrifices for things that he really wanted. He has a keen sense of mind of what is and what isn't important. So gratefully I married a husband who works hard! Thankful for his hands that continues to fix things in our house and to grab things from tall shelves, which this short girl could never reach. He has been such an inspiration to me and I am forever grateful for him!

A Red and Gold Christmas Tree // First Christmas Tree

I LOVE Christmas and I love Christmas trees! This is a special tree for me because it's our first christmas tree in our first home! Maybe I am more sentimental than most, but I just love it and I couldn't be more excited! We bought our tree at target, because I LOVED the tree! I feel in love with it because it's not your ordinary trees, its a Virginia pine. Just look really close at the pictures and you will see the difference! LOVE IT!! :D

When we but this tree up a realization hit me that this was our home and when start having children, their presents will be under that tree. I know so sappy and blah blah blah. I just remember as a kid seeing the tree and knowing that on Christmas there would be something under that tree for me. I really look forward to our children experiencing the same thing. I love where we decided to put the tree because it's right by our stairs. That way when we walk down the stairs we will see it! I love it and it is beautiful! I am thankful that we have a tree and that my husband and I will have this memory for years.

As you look through these images you will notice I didn't take a picture of the while thing. I am embarrassed to say that our tree is naked... we don't have a skirt for it! I really need to get on that! The goal is to make one, but we will see if that will even happen. Anyway, enjoy the photos! I love our tree!

Family of Three // The Lunt Family

Family photography is always fun for me. Although I consider myself a wedding photographer, I love the occasional opportunity to take pictures of families. This cute little family has a very special place in my heart.

I met Catolyn over 2 years ago (can't believe it's been that long), in Texas. I served an 18 month mission for the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I met Catolyn there and we instantly became friends. She is such a wonderful person with a strong belief in Jesus Christ. She has been a dear friend ever since my mission. Her and her family were visiting Utah and she asked if I could take her family pictures. I was very happy to agree because well they are such an adorable family AND she is such a good friend.

Thank you Catolyn for asking me to take these! You are such a beautiful person inside and out!

The Bills Family // American Fork, Utah

Guess what???? It is the time of year when I make my husband go out with me and take pictures together! Are you tired of these yet? I probably will never be tired of this, because I seriously love photography and I personally believe that taking pictures is super important! Maybe not as often as we do, but at least once a year. I love photographing the current stage of life and the current weather that we are experiencing.

I have never really been too much of a fan of snow, but I am kind of digging it right now! Seriously, I love that we can drive up to the mountains and find snow! We are lucky that Utah hasn't hit snow yet, which is amazing!!!!!

I hope that you enjoy these few pictures. We just quickly took a few of them. :)

Tyler & Heather // Salt Lake Utah

A Utah, winter styled wedding is seriously so dreamy when you add a fur coat! Tyler & Heather a just a beautiful couple! I am obsessed with the fur coat that is from Gateway Bridal & prom in Salt Lake, Utah. If I had thought about that when I was getting married, that would be steller! I never thought about that.

Here is an obvious secret for those who know Tyler & Heather, they aren't even married, or engaged!!!! They were models for a group of us photographer girls. Thank you to the wonderful Amy Farland for finding beautiful models so that we can enjoy practicing our photography skills! Heather & Tyler were seriously SOOOOOO easy to photograph.
